Which symptoms need immediate help?

Should I call before attending?

What about a knocked-out tooth or temporary relief?
A knocked-out permanent tooth needs immediate dental attention. Handle it by the crown rather than the root and seek first-aid advice promptly. Keep a recovered tooth moist in milk while arranging immediate care; do not scrub it or leave it to dry. Do not put a knocked-out baby tooth back into its socket. If you are unsure which kind of tooth it is, get urgent professional guidance.
The first visit may focus on assessment and stabilising the problem. Ask about the recommended treatment, costs, risks and follow-up. Pain settling after temporary care does not prove that the underlying cause is resolved, and no treatment outcome can be guaranteed in advance.
