Angel Aligner is a clear aligner system from Angelalign Technology, a company founded in 2003 and headquartered in Shanghai. It treats teeth with a series of removable, custom-made trays, much like Invisalign and Spark. Sydney CBD Dentistry offers all three systems at our practice on Level 3, 70 Pitt Street, a short walk from Wynyard Station.
We only recommend Angel Aligner after checking your teeth, gums and bite. If aligners aren’t right for your case, we will say so and talk you through braces or a specialist referral.
Angel trays are made from a multi-layer material Angelalign calls masterControl S. Treatment is planned on Angelalign’s iOrtho software. The company describes some features that can be built into a plan, such as:
Not every plan uses these features. Your dentist decides what your case needs. Angel trays, like all aligners, are not invisible and can be noticed up close.
Both systems use custom trays, digital planning and staged tray changes. The differences are the manufacturer, the tray material and the planning software.

Are Angel aligners as good as Invisalign? For suitable cases, both are established systems that can achieve planned tooth movement when worn as prescribed. Neither is right for every patient. We explain which we recommend for you and why. See Invisalign in Sydney CBD or compare all three systems on our clear aligners page.

Spark, made by Ormco, is the third system we offer. It uses a material called TruGEN and is planned on Ormco’s Approver software. The two systems treat a similar range of cases. Read more on our Spark Aligners page.
Angel Aligner may suit adults and older teens with crowding, spacing, some bite concerns, or teeth that have shifted since earlier treatment. You need to be able to wear the trays consistently.
It may not be the right choice if you have untreated decay or gum disease, which should be treated first, or a significant jaw discrepancy. In those cases we may suggest fixed braces or a specialist orthodontist. See braces at Sydney CBD Dentistry.
Our current price guide estimates Angel Aligner treatment at $3,700 to $8,490, $500 less than our Invisalign estimate of $4,200 to $8,990. Where you fall within each range depends on the complexity of your case, the number of aligners and whether refinements are needed.
Your first Angel Aligner consultation is complimentary. Your written estimate sets out what is included. Interest-free payment plans are available through external providers, subject to approval. Some private health extras policies with orthodontic cover may contribute, so check with your fund using the item numbers on your estimate.
Angel aligner treatment carries the same risks as other aligner systems. These include soreness with new trays, temporary speech changes and gum irritation. Other risks are decay if hygiene slips, root shortening and movements that are not fully achieved. Treatment time can’t be guaranteed, and teeth can drift back without retainers.

Limited movements can take a few months, and broader cases 12 months or longer. Your plan includes an estimate, but timing can change.
Each tray is shaped slightly differently from the last. Wearing them in sequence applies gentle, controlled pressure that moves teeth step by step.

Rinse them whenever you take them out and brush them gently with a soft brush and cool water. Avoid hot water, which can warp the plastic.
Some extras policies with orthodontic cover contribute towards aligner treatment. Cover varies, so check with your fund.
